"VISIT LA MANCHE: GET TO KNOW LE COTENTIN"
La Hannière is on the outskirts of Le Ham, a small village near Montebourg, surrounded by the Marais du Cotentin (the marshlands), and not far from either Cherbourg or Sainte-Mère-Eglise, and close to the D-Day landing beaches of Utah.
Guy and Colette Buttet have created four charming guest rooms in their traditional stone built farmhouse at the end of a country lane. From these rooms guests can enjoy views over the marshes.
Colette has furnished the guest rooms in an elegant style, using family furniture, fabrics and ornaments giving the rooms a real sense of history.
There are four rooms, for two or four persons, all with ensuite shower and WC. There is a large living space on the ground floor for relaxation, with a library corner, and a table which seats ten. There is also a large garden with outdoor furniture for the use of the guests.
Bed and breakfast costs from 50 euros per room (up to 10 persons max).
Evening meal with your hosts, Colette and Guy, may be booked in advance at 18 euros per person all inclusive (10 persons max).
Colette and Guy will be pleased to help you make the most of your visit to the beautiful region around Montebourg: it’s history, architecture and agricultural heritage.
You can see the cows being milked, discover the secrets of the marshes, fish in the river and ramble through the open countryside. Your hosts are at your disposal in order to make your stay unforgettable, whether you come for a romantic break or a family holiday.
There are two bicycles for your use, and baby equipment is also available.
There are two horseboxes and feed for your horses, and a bike shed with water and washing machine.
